I have got mine earbuds plugged-in, but sound still is coming out of the laptop speakers. I’ve set speakers to default everything, and yes, they are fully plugged in. How do I fix it?
This issue is straightforward to fix and works with any brand laptop or desktop! All you need to do is:
- Open
Control Panel. - Open System > Sound.
- Choose your Output Device > Select the Relevant device showing in the list except for the entry of Speakers. Like here it is showing
Headphones.
- Also, in the
Input, change it toStereo Mix. That’ll ensure the future compatibility with any device, whether its wired or via Bluetooth.
Here’s is another way to fix the issue if its driver related or if the above step didn’t work for you.
- Open
Device Manager. - Locate
Sound, Video and Game Controllers>Realtek High Definition Audio. - Right Click >
Update Driver.
- Click
Browse My Computer from for Driver Software - Click
Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer. - Select the
High Definition Audio Device. - Done
That should fix the issue for you.
