After upgrading to windows 10, my cursor loading keeps flickering. Also sometimes when using apps like for video chats the screen keeps flickering. I have tried everything, no problems detected anywhere. No viruses in the scan were detected.
This should be easy to fix. Usually, this issue appears on the laptop with biometric authentication. You’ll need to disable it to fix the flashing cursor issue. Here’s what you need to do:
- Open HP SimplePass
- Log in to HP SimplePass by swiping your fingerprint
- Click on
Personal Settings(cog icon) - Untick
LaunchSite - Click OK
If the answer by Sofia doesn’t fix the issue, you can try the following method:
Open Device Manager
Double Tap on Biometric Device
Locate the Installed Fingerprint Scanner you’ve on your Laptop
Right Click on that Device > Disable
This way when and if the driver update gets available, HP SimplePass can be enabled back again.
Thank you for that suggestion. I uninstalled HP SimplePass and so far so good. No more flickering for the time being, at least.
